As part of a diverse and inclusive Clinical Engineering Team, you will play a key role in the technical servicing of medical equipment, ensuring prompt and effective completion of tasks. Job description
Role Overview

Responsible for working to high safety standards while collecting and delivering medical devices to and from wards and clinical areas. Undertakes technical servicing on medical equipment and plays a key role in ensuring that work is carried out safely and effectively, completing work schedules on time and in line with planned preventative maintenance on the Trust’s and non‑Trust medical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and collect medical devices to and from wards and clinical areas.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to the Clinical Engineering equipment management service.
  • Support and assist the service and repair work activities of the medical equipment support teams under managed supervision.
  • Organise own workload and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Communicate regularly with nursing staff who request and return devices and with company representatives from suppliers who loan devices to the Trust.
  • Maintain a demanding and challenging level of physical effort required by the role.
About the Clinical Engineering Team

The Clinical Engineering Team is part of the Medical Physics Department within Humber Health Partnership NHS Trust. We provide whole‑life equipment management services for the range of medical equipment in use across the Trust and also in external organisations who procure our services. Our team consists of 24 members of staff based in workshops at Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital sites.
