Salary: Grade I. Scale 35 - £46,142 to Scale 39 - £50,269 with a professional bar at Scale 37 - £48,226

Hours per Week: 36

Base Location: Wilshaw House, Wilshaw Lane, Ashton-Under-Lyne, OL7 9QG

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our rapidly developing Occupational Therapy Service in Tameside. We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist, ideally with experience in manual handling, aids and adaptations and learning disability.

As Occupational Therapists we are actively involved in integrated social and health care systems across the Tameside footprint. We work alongside Social Workers, District Nursing, Primary Care Nursing and other professionals to deliver best outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Clinical supervision of Occupational Therapists and Sensory Rehabilitation Specialists.
  • Hold a small caseload and assess the manual handling needs across community settings.
  • Assess for equipment and adaptations to allow service users to live an independent and full life.
  • Support service development, audits, policies and processes as an Assistant Team Manager.
About You

We are looking for a confident and experienced Occupational Therapist with enthusiasm, passion for learning and development, a great team player, and drive to be part of an exciting, rapidly developing service. The role requires clinical competence, leadership, and strong communication skills.

Car driver with own vehicle is essential.
