Job summary

Portsmouth City Council is recruiting for a secondment within the Adult Intermediate Care Team. The post leads line management of social workers and practitioners, providing supervision and driving practice development to improve service delivery over a nine-month period or until the substantive post holder returns.

Job description

This secondment cover post sits within the Adult Intermediate Care Team at Portsmouth City Council, for up to nine months or until the substantive post holder returns. Skills & knowledge

• Sound knowledge of the Care Act, the Mental Capacity Act and adult safeguarding legislation
• Robust recording and report writing skills
• Excellent interpersonal and reflective skills
• Ability to help practitioners apply theory to practice
• Ability to address performance issues when required
