Job summary

Workforce Recruitment and Training is partnering with a Bromsgrove accountancy practice to recruit an Assistant Tax Manager. This role focuses on managing personal tax client portfolios and expanding advisory capabilities while mentoring junior staff.

You will work with senior leaders to deliver accurate UK tax returns, identify planning opportunities, and contribute to the growth of the tax team through knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong personal tax experience gained within an accountancy practice.
• CTA qualified or near completion (preferred).
• Experience reviewing work and supporting junior colleagues.
• Confidence managing own workload and client relationships.
• Exposure to international tax matters, residency issues or double tax treaties is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients and oversee UK tax compliance.
• Prepare and review UK tax returns and identify planning opportunities.
• Support Managers and Directors on complex tax matters and advisory projects.
• Review junior team members' work and provide guidance.
• Manage workflow to meet deadlines and maintain client service.
