Assistant Swimming Teacher

Location: Newport Pagnell
Salary: £29,749 per year – Part‑time

Overview

As an Assistant Swimming Teacher you will support the Swimming Teacher in delivering lessons for babies to adults. You’ll work closely with the Swimming Teacher to develop swimmers’ skills and confidence in the water. Within lessons you may be responsible for a small group of learners learning a specific skill under the Teacher’s direction. We follow robust safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring all staff, volunteers and contractors uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and accountability. Our recruitment process includes pre‑employment checks, including DBS checks where applicable, to promote a safe and secure working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of swimming lessons across all age groups.
• Work closely with the Swimming Teacher to develop swimmers’ skills and confidence.
• Manage a small group of learners learning a specific skill under the Teacher’s direction.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring all staff and volunteers maintain high standards of safeguarding and accountability.
