We currently have an opportunity for a full time (37.5 hours) Assistant Support Worker at our supported living scheme, Aplin Road, in Aylesbury. Aplin Road is a supported living service, providing care and support to people with a variety of physical health conditions, mental health conditions and learning difficulties. At Aplin Road, we provide compassionate, high-quality care every day and help people reach their goals and live their best lives.

What You will Do
  • Aid with the daily administration of medication
  • Supporting with personal care in a dignified and respectful way
  • Encouraging life skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, and budgeting
  • Organise trips to local amenities
  • Promoting independence and helping residents achieve their personal goals
  • Following tailored support plans and risk assessments to ensure safety and wellbeing
As an Assistant Support Worker you will
  • Provide appropriate support to service users who are living in their own homes or in a supported housing setting to enable them to support their aspirations and maximise their independence.
  • Provide personal care but your role will also involve promoting life skills such as shopping, managing budgets and supporting with domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning.
  • Build long lasting support relationships with people who will benefit from you "being the difference". Follow agreed support plans and risk assessments to ensure that we are providing a service that meets each individual's needs.
