A key role as Assistant Manager at Boots Opticians involves leading and inspiring the store team to deliver an exemplary customer journey. Working closely with the Store Manager, you’ll create and implement the commercial plan to grow the business and support continuous improvement.

About the role

As Assistant Manager you will:

  • Lead a team with varied experience and clinical knowledge, coaching them to develop skills and shape their careers.
  • Oversee all aspects of store operations, including customer service, store management and clinical activities such as patient pre‑screening, dispensing and accuracy checks.
  • Complete management tasks such as creating and maintaining rotas, conducting return‑to‑work reviews and managing performance.
  • Participate in Boots’ industry leading ‘Step into Optics’ training programme to develop clinical expertise, and leadership training to build a long‑term career path.
What you’ll need to have
  • GOC Registered
  • Experience in a customer‑facing role
  • Desire to learn and grow
  • Experience leading or coaching a team
