A well-known optical retailer in Edinburgh is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead and inspire the team, ensuring an exemplary customer journey. The role involves managing customer service, store operations, and clinical activities such as patient pre-screening. Ideal candidates will be GOC Registered and possess experience in a customer-facing role. Opportunities for professional development are provided, alongside a supportive environment.
As an Assistant Manager at Boots Opticians, you will lead and inspire your team to deliver an exemplary customer journey. You will play an important role within your store, working closely with the Store Manager to create and deliver the commercial plan to help the business grow and change for the better.
Working across the whole store, your days will be full of variety. You will be involved in customer service, store operations, and the clinical activities which include patient pre-screening, dispensing, accuracy checks and more.
You will manage a team with a variety of experience and clinical knowledge, providing opportunities to develop their knowledge, skills and future careers. This also includes completing management tasks such as creating and maintaining rotas, return to work reviews and performance management. We will support you in completing our industry leading Step into Optics training programme to develop your clinical knowledge, with leadership training programmes also available to help you grow your career at Boots Opticians.
