Mountain Warehouse is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Truro to partner with the Store Manager in leading daily store operations and developing a high-performing team. You will drive customer experiences, uphold brand standards, and ensure a collaborative, compliant, and safe store environment.

The role focuses on developing people, driving sales performance, managing stock, and delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in partnership with the Store Manager to drive engagement and high performance.
• Foster a collaborative environment, deliver training and development, and ensure alignment and trust across the team.
• Maintain visual merchandising and housekeeping standards, manage health and safety, and recruit top talent.
• Support in meeting sales targets, monitor KPIs, oversee stock levels, and implement loss prevention strategies.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, address feedback promptly, and represent Mountain Warehouse with professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development:

• Partner with the Store Manager to lead a motivated, engaged, and high-performing team.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, encouraging teamwork and shared goals.
• Drive training and development, empowering your team to excel and grow.
• Communicate clearly and transparently, ensuring alignment and trust across the team.
• Keep the team well-informed with product knowledge to deliver outstanding customer service.

Operational Excellence:

• Assist with the smooth day-to-day running of the store, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Maintain high visual merchandising and housekeeping standards to enhance the shopping experience.
• Prioritise health and safety, conducting regular risk assessments and ensuring a secure environment for staff and customers.
• Play an active role in recruiting and retaining top talent to build a strong and motivated team.

Sales & Performance:

• Support in meeting and exceeding sales targets, driving profitability through effective strategies.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and sustain store success.
• Oversee stock levels, ensuring smooth replenishment and accurate delivery management.
• Implement proactive loss prevention strategies to protect the store’s profitability.

Customer Experience:

• Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service at every opportunity.
