The Assistant Store Manager Mission

You will deliver the most memorable and engaging in‑store experience, bringing Experiential Retail to life. Championing our core values you will play an integral part of the continued growth and expansion of the brand while partnering with your store manager to lead and develop your team with growth always at the forefront.

How You’ll Drive Success
Experiential Retail
  • Partner with your Store Manager to lead by example on the shop floor, ensuring the team delivers an exceptional customer experience while integrating our three experiential retail pillars: Community & Connection, Memorable Moments, and Inspiration & Innovation.
  • Drive continuous elevation of our overall customer experience to ensure the customer is at the heart of all decisions.
  • Build brand loyalty by promoting our CRM scheme, hosting events, and engaging with your local community.
Inspirational Reverse Leadership
  • Partner with your Store Manager to provide the support, mentorship, coaching, and guidance that the team need to truly flourish and grow in their roles.
  • Adopt a reverse leadership approach in partnership with your Store Manager to inspire continuous growth to your team through training, coaching and frequent reviews in order to cultivate high‑performing and truly engaged teams.
  • Be a clear and confident communicator, comfortable delivering feedback on the shop floor, observing & delivering in the moment.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with your Store Manager to drive a commercially strong store by setting the way in ensuring strong numbers are achieved through inventory management, VM store layouts and experiential retail.
  • Ensure efficient and effective operational processes in your store to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Need to Thrive

  • Experience as an Assistant Store Manager (ideal).
  • The ability to develop and mentor a high‑performing team to create an environment fostered by learning, growth, and development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Curiosity and a constant desire to find a better way to do things and to ask questions.
The Interview Process and Candidate Experience
  • Life Story & Values – a 30‑minute video call with our Talent Team for us to get to know each other better, asking questions inspired by our three core values.
  • SWOT Task – you’ll present a SWOT analysis of the store you’re applying to and share this with your Area Manager in person.
  • In‑Store Experience Interview – a chance for you to experience life as a Store Manager in an A&M store with our Head of Retail.
