About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist Assistant to join a specialist school setting near Heathrow. The school supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, including speech, language, and communication difficulties, autism spectrum conditions (ASC), and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

As a Speech and Language Therapist Assistant, you will work closely with the onsite Speech and Language Therapist and teaching staff to support pupils' communication development. You will assist in delivering therapy programmes, run small group or one-to-one sessions, and help integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom environment. Your work will focus on building students' confidence, social skills, and ability to express themselves effectively.

Qualifications

To be successful, you should have experience supporting children with additional or communication needs, ideally in an educational or therapy-based setting. Strong communication skills, empathy, and a proactive approach are essential. A background in psychology, education, linguistics, or speech and language therapy would be highly advantageous.
