Job summary

Unknown PLC Residential Developer in Hertfordshire is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join the team. You will work with the Site Manager to manage daily site activities, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure homes are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard.

The role offers a pathway to progression within a major housebuilder. The position requires residential build experience, a proactive approach to build quality and health & safety, and good coordination with

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Assistant Site Manager or trainee role on residential builds.
• Residential development / housebuilding experience is highly desirable.
• Good understanding of the residential build process.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive approach with a focus on build quality and Health & Safety.
• SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS and First Aid would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day management of the development.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors on site.
• Monitor build quality and ensure company standards are maintained.
• Ensure works are progressing in line with the construction programme.
• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety across the site.
• Carry out site inspections and identify any quality or build issues.
• Assist with coordinating materials, labour and site logistics.
• Work closely with the Site Manager and wider construction team.
• Liaise with technical, commercial and customer care teams where required.
• Assist with driving plots through to completion and handover.
