About the Role
This is a fantastic, long-term opportunity to join prestigious development in Newbury, focusing on high-specification, high-end residential properties.

We are seeking a highly motivated and career-driven Assistant Site Manager (ASM) with permanent experience in housebuilding. You will work directly under a unique and highly experienced Manager, whose instructions you will be expected to absorb, own, and execute. This role is a genuine path to Site Manager progression for a motivated individual looking to commit and grow with a market-leading company for the long term.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Construction Manager in the daily management of the site, ensuring the build programme is adhered to, and projects are completed on time and to the highest quality.
  • Drive and maintain exceptional standards of finish on high-specification properties, ensuring strict compliance with Group quality standards and warranty provider requirements (NHBC/LABC).
  • Be proactive in championing Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance, conducting regular site inspections and inductions to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Effectively supervise and coordinate the site workforce and all subcontractors, ensuring productivity and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Assist with timely material call-offs, secure storage, and management of site resources.
  • Maintain accurate site records, including inductions, quality checklists, incident reports, and progress updates.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Customer Care teams to ensure a smooth handover and prompt resolution of any customer-related issues.
Experience, Qualifications, Training/Certificates
  • Proven track record as an Assistant Site Manager with a recognised UK residential developer, ideally within the high-volume or premium housebuilding sector
  • A clear desire and readiness to progress to a permanent Site Manager role within a few years.
  • Valid CSCS Card, SMSTS, First Aid at Work Certificate.
  • Strong understanding of current Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, as well as NHBC/LABC standards.
  • The ability to work closely and effectively with a dynamic manager.
