Freelance Assistant Site Manager – Residential Timber Frame Development

Duration: Ongoing Freelance Contract

The Role:

We’re seeking a freelance Assistant Site Manager to join the site team on a new-build residential development in Coventry, delivering high-quality timber frame houses. You’ll support the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, to specification, and on programme.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Site Manager in coordinating trades and subcontractors on site
  • Ensure compliance with site health & safety standards
  • Assist with quality checks and snagging
  • Monitor progress against the build schedule and report updates
  • Liaise with site teams, suppliers, and visiting management
  • Maintain accurate site records and ensure the site is kept organised and presentable
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor on residential housing projects
  • Experience with timber frame construction
  • Valid CSCS card and SMSTS certification
  • First Aid at Work certificate ()
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
