Job summary

Crest Recruitment seeks an Assistant Site Manager for a residential development in Tewkesbury. You will support the Site Manager to deliver programme, quality and cost targets, coordinating trades and direct labour to meet the build schedule.

You will deputise as needed, ensure resources, training and clear responsibilities, and uphold excellent customer service throughout the build process. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with residential house builders or main contractors.
• Experience working within established build programs.
• Assertive to drive target delivery on-site.
• Ability to prioritise tasks to meet changing needs.
• Member of CIOB or NVQ Construction Management or time-served trades experience.
• Solid knowledge of Health & Safety, NHBC, Building Regulations.
• Strong customer service awareness.

Responsibilities

• Assist Site Manager in coordinating trades, direct labour and materials to meet production goals.
• Attend Sales/Build meetings with Sales Team and ensure procedures and inspections of show homes are conducted.
• deputise for Site Manager when required and take ownership of duties.
• Ensure on-site team is resourced, guided and trained with clear job responsibilities.
• Deliver excellent customer service in line with company guidelines.

• Client/Developer: 5* national developer with a 5* HBF customer rating

About you:

• Experience working for a residential house builder or main contractor or experienced trade background
• Experience of working within established build programs
• Assertive to ensure delivery of targets by the on-site team and trades/labour
• Ability to prioritise tasks to meet changing business needs
• A member of the Chartered Institute of Builders and/or qualified to NVQ level in Construction Management or a time served tradesman with considerable experience of the full range of construction trades
• In depth knowledge of all aspects of the construction trade and the relevant legislative requirements e.g. Health and Safety, NHBC requirements and Building Regulations
• Good knowledge, understanding and experience of dealing with all issues relating to Customer Service

About the role:

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will assist the Site Manager in managing the development of the site through to completion, ensuring that Programme, Quality and Cost targets are achieved in accordance with the build programme, through the effective management of the Site team and subcontractors.

• Support the Site Manager in coordinating trades, direct labour and materials to meet the production programme
• Work in conjunction with the Sales Team, ensure that regular Sales/Build meetings are attended, all Sales/Build procedures are adhered to, and inspections of all show homes are carried out
• Accept responsibility for such duties and responsibilities as the Site Manager may determine; in particular, as and when required, deputise for the Site Manager
• Support the Site Manager, in ensuring that the on-site Construction team is fully resourced and well-directed, with clear guidelines to their own job responsibilities, and are provided with full support in achieving these, in terms of communication, training and development, and the organisation of the site's workload and resources
• Be responsible for delivering excellent customer service to customers in line with company guidelines
