We are proud to be partnering with a leading UK housebuilder to appoint an Assistant Site Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious construction professional to join a high-performing team, supporting the successful delivery of high-quality new homes.

The Role

As Assistant Site Manager, you will play a key part in the coordination and delivery of site operations, ensuring all works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with the Site Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day control of sub-contractors, manage material availability, and ensure the overall build programme is achieved. You will also take responsibility for maintaining strong communication across construction, sales, and customer service teams to ensure each home is delivered to an exceptional standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Site Manager in the planning, programming, and coordination of site activities.
  • Supervise and direct labour and sub-contractors to achieve build and quality targets.
  • Ensure all works comply with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures, carrying out regular inspections to maintain site standards.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and resource planning to align with programme milestones.
  • Work closely with the Sales team regarding customer choices, options, and variations.
  • Liaise with NHBC and Local Authority representatives to schedule and accompany stage inspections.
  • Assist with Home Quality Inspections (HQIs), ensuring each property is completed to a defect-free standard prior to handover.
  • Maintain excellent site presentation and uphold company standards across all areas of work.
What We’re Looking for

We are seeking a proactive and detail-focused professional with a solid background in residential construction management. You’ll have a natural ability to lead by example, drive performance on site, and build positive relationships across all project teams.

Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Trade background or NVQ Level 4 in Residential Construction Site Supervision (or equivalent).
  • Comprehensive understanding of NHBC standards and Building Regulations.
  • Valid CSCS card (Manager/Supervisor level).
  • First Aid qualified.
  • Demonstrable experience coordinating sub-contractors and managing multi-trade sites.
