Assistant Site Manager

Daniel Owen are looking for an Assistant Site Manager to join a reputable main contractor with a proven track record in delivering high-quality construction and refurbishment projects across the UK. They are committed to excellence in project delivery, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and client satisfaction. Our portfolio spans residential, healthcare, education, and commercial sectors.

Location: Uttoxeter, Staffordshire

Position: Assistant Site Manager

Salary: 200.00 per day (CIS/ Umbrella)

Contract Type: Temporary. Minimum 2 weeks

Availability: Start date 8th May

We are seeking a capable and enthusiastic Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a live refurbishment project. The successful candidate will work closely with the Site Manager to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the day-to-day management of site operations
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and suppliers
• Monitor progress against programme and report on milestones
• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies
• Support quality control procedures and contribute to snagging and handover processes
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries and progress reports
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and the wider project team to facilitate smooth communication

Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role within the construction industry, preferably on refurbishment projects
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification (essential)
• Valid CSCS card (Supervisor or higher)
• First Aid at Work qualification
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a site team
• Sound knowledge of current construction methods, health & safety legislation, and site procedures
