Places Developments is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Site Manager to support the successful delivery of a residential development on site. You will work closely with the Site Manager and project team to coordinate daily activities, ensure work progresses safely, efficiently and to high quality standards.

You will promote safe working practices, monitor quality, and assist with planning, logistics and SNAGging coordination with homeowners.

Qualifications

• Experience in housebuilding or residential construction is essential.
• CSCS supervisor accreditation and safety qualifications are required.
• SMSTS and First Aid certifications are preferred.
• NHBC standards knowledge is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Support the Site Manager with day-to-day management of construction activity to meet programme, budget and quality.
• Promote safe working practices and uphold a professional site culture.
• Monitor quality and ensure Build Stage Inspection processes are followed.
• Conduct health and safety inductions for contractors and visitors.
• Plan and coordinate work packages, activities and logistics to minimise risks.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, NHBC and stakeholders to keep deadlines on track.
• Assist in snagging coordination with new homeowners and site teams.

Working closely with the Site Manager and wider project team, you'll help coordinate day-to-day activity on site, ensuring work progresses safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to develop your site management experience while playing an important part in delivering homes that our customers can be proud of.
What you'll be doing
Supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day management of construction activity, ensuring work is delivered in line with the agreed programme, budget and quality standards.
Promoting safe working practices across the development and helping to maintain a positive, professional site culture.
Monitoring quality throughout each stage of the build and ensuring the required Build Stage Inspection processes are followed.
Carrying out health and safety inductions for contractors and visitors to the site.
Planning and coordinating work packages, site activities and logistics to help minimise health, safety and environmental risks.
Working with contractors, suppliers, the NHBC and other key stakeholders to keep activity progressing and deadlines on track.
Deputising for the Site Manager when required and helping to maintain effective site management and discipline.

A full, clean UK driving licence.
A valid SMSTS qualification.

Good IT and communication skills.
Knowledge of NHBC standards and building control requirements.
Previous experience within housebuilding or residential construction.
