Job summary

Miller Homes is recruiting an Assistant Site Manager for our South West region, based at Bridgwater. You will support the Site Manager on-site to keep activities aligned with the build programme and company standards.

Key responsibilities include coordinating labour and subcontractors, monitoring site safety, and ensuring security and traffic management. You will cover for the Site Manager during absences and attend to day-to-day site operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar site role, ideally with a housebuilder.
• Plan, organise and monitor subcontract activity daily.
• Positive can-do attitude with commitment to site safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Control labour on site including direct and sub-contract to coordinate activities per the build programme.
• Monitor site activities and sub-contract packages to ensure compliance with the Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan.
• Ensure site security, traffic management, theft prevention and safe public access.
• Provide cover for the Site Manager during absences or meetings.

We are looking to recruit an Assistant Site Manager for our South West region, to be based at our upcoming new development in Bridgwater. The role will see you provide on‑site support to the Site Manager, ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with the build programme and to specified company and company standards.

ASSISTANT SITE MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Control of all labour on site including direct and sub-contract to ensure that activities are coordinated on a plot by plot basis and as scheduled on the build programme.
• Monitoring of all site activities, direct labour and sub-contract packages to ensure that operations are carried out in strict accordance with the Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan .
• Ensure that site security is adequate and maintained at all times including traffic management, prevention of theft and general public access
• Provide cover during periods when Site Manager is off site or for meetings, holiday cover or sickness where required

ASSISTANT SITE MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience working in a similar role, ideally with a Housebuilder
• Ability to plan, organise and monitor sub-contract activity on a day by day basis.
• Positive can-do attitude to succeed and progress within the business
• Hold relevant industry qualifications and accreditations
