Assistant Site Manager

We have a position available for an Assistant Site Manager to join our site teams based in Upper Cufaude Farm, Basingstoke working on a development that comprising of timber‑frame traditional build houses.

What you’ll be doing :

Your daily activities will involve supporting the day‑to‑day operations of the development while ensuring Company objectives are met in areas such as safety, quality, production, cost, and presentation. You will work closely with the site team to assist with the coordination of contractors and sub‑contractors, as well as managing the induction of all operatives and visitors. Your responsibilities will include the organisation of daily site operations across both construction and general site management. A solid understanding of Health & Safety and Environmental regulations is essential, along with a commitment to maintaining company quality standards in line with NHBC and building regulations. You’ll also manage materials efficiently, aligning them with development needs and budgets, while attending regular site meetings and carrying out ongoing site inspections. With ongoing growth and a strong pipeline of residential developments, this role offers excellent opportunities for career progression.

Skills & knowledge you’ll bring :
  • Proven experience of working within Residential property or house builder sector experience
  • A construction‑related qualification (e.g., HNC, HND, NVQ Level 3+ in Site Supervision or Construction Management) is desirable
  • Familiarity with NHBC standards, building regulations, and health & safety legislation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with the site team, contractors, and customers
  • Ability to organise and prioritise, and manage time constraints effectively
  • Attention to detail to ensure high‑quality finishes and compliance with specifications
  • IT literacy, including use of Microsoft Office and construction management software
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and site operatives effectively
