About the role

Sense is currently recruiting for an Assistant Shop Manager to work 7.5 hours per week at our shop in Aberdare on a permanent basis. As part of a network of over 120 shops, you will play a pivotal role in our exciting shop growth programme.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire an enthusiastic team of volunteers.
  • Drive delivery of shop standards, operational and customer service excellence.
  • Deliver superb shop standards, offer and customer engagement.
  • Drive stock generation and community engagement.
  • Maximise vital income generation for the charity.
Key skills & experience
  • Self‑motivated, creative, great communicator and positively committed to working in charity retail.
  • Experience of inspiring a team to provide excellent customer service.
  • Attention to detail ensuring a safe, clean, and inviting environment.
  • Experience working in a retail environment or in a team‑leader position.
  • Willingness to work bank holidays and weekends as required.
