A local charity organization in Eastleigh is looking for an Assistant Shop Manager to oversee daily operations in a retail shop, working part-time (14 hours across 2 days). Our charity shops provide a great source of income to enable us to provide care for local children and their families. We are looking for an Assistant Shop Manager to help run our shop and raise our profile in the area.
Doing all you can to increase income to support the work of the Trust, your responsibilities will include meeting and greeting customers, merchandising, pricing, stock sorting and rotation, banking and staff planning. All our shops aim to offer a pleasant customer experience with a good old-fashioned bargain to boot and we expect our Assistant Shop Managers to reflect this in their approach to work.
Working with your Shop Manager and alongside volunteers, it is essential that you have strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature.
The role is part-time 2 days a week, with some regular Saturday working. You will also cover for the Shop Manager’s absence (holidays, regular day off, sickness absence) so flexibility over working days will be needed.
We are looking for someone to work on a part time, permanent basis.
Hours - 14 hrs per week (over 2 days) Includes some Saturdays.
Salary: £12.81 per hour
