A clinical service provider based in Royal Tunbridge Wells is seeking a candidate for a full-time role within the Refugee and Asylum Seeker service. The position is focused on assisting the service manager and requires strong teamwork within a dynamic environment. This is a 1-year fixed-term contract offering a salary ranging between £35,918.88 and £42,926.38, commensurate with experience. Candidates must have a valid driver's licence and access to a car. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders and is integral to service delivery.
The refugee and asylum seeker service (RASS) is one of a growing list of clinical services delivered by ABC. Due to the significant number of external partners involved with the refugee and asylum seeker service and the nature of the work, this role straddles two parts of ABC – transformation and clinical services – and the expectation is that the post holder will work closely with both.
Location: Predominantly based in East Sussex, close to Tunbridge Wells with the requirement to travel to ABC main offices in Horley/Crawley. The role requires a full driver’s licence with business insurance and access to a car.
This is a new role to assist the current service manager within a close and supportive team of both clinical and non‑clinical staff to ensure effective service provision. Whilst the role is fast‑moving with activity stepped up rapidly in response to changes regarding asylum estate, the environment is calm and there is a focus on resilience and teamwork.
The role is critical to the successful delivery of the Refugee and Asylum Seeker service, which operates 7 days a week 08:00–20:00, covering asylum accommodation and continuing to grow at pace. The service is strengthened by close collaboration with more than 30 voluntary sector organisations who provide key support to refugees and asylum seekers.
As part of Alliance for Better Care CIC, a GP Federation that unites 77 NHS GP practices across 24 Primary Care Networks in Sussex and Surrey, the candidate will also work with primary care colleagues, hospitals, community organisations and the third sector to help improve the provision of general practice in the local area and deliver an integrated approach to community care.
