A community care provider in Brecon is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to support individuals with learning disabilities. This role involves working alongside the Service Manager to ensure a high-quality service, leading the team, and promoting independence for those supported. Ideal candidates have experience in social care and a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care. Role: Assistant Service Manager
Location: Brecon and Crickhowell
Hours: 37 hours per week, shift pattern will include weekends and sleep‑ins.
Salary: £27,417 per annum; sleep‑in shifts at £60 per night; travel expenses paid at 45p per mile.
Contract: Permanent

In this role you’ll be working alongside the Service Manager to ensure a safe and caring service for the people we support and our colleagues. You’ll be visible in the day‑to‑day operation of the service, supporting duties in line with the requirements of the people we support. You’ll work shifts on a rota basis, which may include sleep‑ins. In the absence of the Service Manager, you'll have responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of the service. This will involve providing leadership and management to the team, monitoring performance, carrying out one‑to‑one appraisals and holding team meetings. You’ll enjoy building positive relationships with all stakeholders and putting our vision and values into action to deliver a first‑class service. Your focus will be on achieving the highest levels of independence for the people we support, and on organising and modelling that support in an innovative, person‑centred and flexible way to make everyday remarkable.
