Qualifications

  • A working knowledge of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and provide cover.
  • A full driving licence is essential.
  • Access to your own car for transporting individuals.

37 hours – shift pattern includes weekends and sleep‑ins

Salary

£27,224pa – sleep‑in shifts at £60 per night and travel expenses paid at 45p per mile

What Youll Be Doing

You will work alongside the Service Manager to ensure a safe and caring service for the people we support and our colleagues. Your day‑to‑day duties will support the service in line with the needs of the people we support. You will have responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of the service in the absence of the Service Manager. This will involve providing leadership and management to the team, monitoring performance, carrying out one to one meetings and appraisals, and holding team meetings. You will build positive relationships with all stakeholders and put our vision and values into action to deliver a first‑class service. Your focus will be on achieving the highest levels of independence for the people we support, and on organising and modelling that support in an innovative, person‑centred and flexible way to make everyday remarkable.

Who We Are Looking For
  • Experience supporting people with learning difficulties in a social care setting
  • Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or actively working towards)
  • A strong caring nature to support others to live an enriched life and fulfil their potential
  • A working knowledge and understanding of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice
  • Flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as required
  • A full driving licence – essential and happy to travel for meetings and training
  • Access to your own car and happy to use this for transporting people we support to and from activities as well as obtaining business insurance for your vehicle – we pay 45p per mile to cover this
