Job summary

The Elton High School is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant SENDCO to join our experienced SEND team. It is a 37-hour week, term-time only plus 10 days, with a Grade 10 salary currently £36,581 – £39,481 FTE (Actual £32,973 – £35,587).

The postholder will work within the SEND department to ensure students’ needs are met, support learning, and contribute to our tradition of high achievement in a nationally recognised school.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage HLTA/TA timetables to meet student needs and priorities.
• Maintain and update the SEND register with staff referrals and evolving needs.
• Deliver ASDAN activities and supervise students in The Hub, including SEMH needs.
• Plan learning objectives for individuals/groups/whole class and adapt lessons as needed.
• Assess and report students' needs using specialist knowledge to support learning.
• Provide feedback to stakeholders on student progress and achievement.
