Joseph Norton Academy seeks an Assistant SENCO to work closely with the SLT, supporting the SENCO in assessment, planning and delivery of interventions for students with special educational needs. You will collaborate with teachers to ensure classroom support and contribute to inclusive practices strategies.
The role involves leading SEND reviews, managing paperwork, building relationships with parents and external agencies, and supporting students with therapeutic and personal care needs.

Joseph Norton Academy is a special academy educating children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. We are recruiting ahead of a significant expansion that will see the school move from Scissett to Deighton.
As an Assistant Senco you will be working closely with the SLT playing an instrumental part in ensuring every student reaches their full potential. You will primarily support our SENCO by assisting in the assessment, planning and delivery of interventions for students with special educational needs, working closely with teachers to ensure appropriate support is provided within the classroom, and contributing to the overall strategy for inclusive practices within the school.
