Job summary

A regional health authority in the United Kingdom is seeking Security / Violence and Aggression Officers to join their Health, Safety and Security Team. Ideal candidates should have a Level 3 Diploma in Security Management and security service experience in healthcare. Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for four people to join our Health, Safety and Security Team as Security / Violence and Aggression Officers.

The four vacancies are spread across the Health Board with one vacancy in each of Glangwili General Hospital (Carmarthen), Prince Philip Hospital (Llanelli), Withybush General Hospital (Haverfordwest) & Bronglais General Hospital (Aberystwyth).

Main duties of the job

The main duties of these roles is to:

  • Support the operational management arrangements at the Health Board’s General Hospital sites and associated sites, including day to day management of access control, CCTV and Staff ID badge systems;
  • Assist the Health Board Security Adviser and Violence and Aggression Case Manager in their duties;
  • Provide advice and training to staff in personal safety and provide support to staff affected by violence and aggression.

Level 3 Diploma in Security Management or equivalent experience and knowledge along with Security Service experience in healthcare (or security related service) are essential. Experience of the criminal justice process with enforcement agencies including victim/witness support and thorough knowledge of security related standards and procedures are desirable.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
