Job summary

DHU Health Care CIC is inviting applications for a Safeguarding Assistant Practitioner to support both Children’s and Adults safeguarding within our trust. The role covers a range of activities including preparing and delivering training to DHU staff and assisting safeguarding leads with corporate safeguarding responsibilities.

• DHU Safeguarding Assistant Practitioner role involves safeguarding across Children’s and Adults services.
• Training delivery to DHU staff and assisting safeguarding leads with governance tasks.
• Experience with audits, quality assurance and report writing is advantageous.
• Liaison with Social Care, Child Health Services and other organisations is required.
• Support staff in safeguarding issues and escalating concerns appropriately.

Job Advert Safeguarding Assistant Practitioner

We are looking for an enthusiastic well motivated individual to join the DHU safeguarding team as a Safeguarding Assistant Practitioner. The postholder will work within both Childrens and Adults safeguarding arena, ensuring that vulnerable children and adults at risk engaging with DHU are identified and safeguarded.

The post includes a variety of activities including preparing and delivering training to DHU staff, assisting the Child and Adult Safeguarding leads in meeting the corporate safeguarding responsibilities, in addition to undertaking audit, quality assurance, report writing etc. They will be required to liaise with Social Care and Child Health Services and other organisations and support staff in DHU with safeguarding issues.

The DHU safeguarding team forms part of the overall corporate governance structure and covers all contracts held by DHU which adds to the interest and variety of the role.
