The Role: Assistant Restaurant Manager

We're looking for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the team of our client in Malta.The operation is a top quality yet casual restaurant, with home-made cuisine.

You will be instrumental in supporting the Restaurant Manager with daily operations, coordinating and optimizing everything from the restaurant and bar to kitchen functions, large group bookings, and special events.

We are looking for someone who leads with passion.You will have a knack for inspiring and motivating your team, and paying meticulous attention to every detail.

Main Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the Restaurant Manager, overseeing all aspect of the operations and guide the team to meet company standards.
  • Be an active support during service.
  • Support in the preparation of plannings and rotas
  • Maintain the food & service standards, and the product knowledge to the highest standard
  • Ensure maximal revenue and profit are achieved from all sales opportunities
  • Review feedback to ensure they are offering the best experience
  • Support the implementation of brand standards and procedures
  • Training of your team to develop knowledge and individual skills
  • Support and assist in : employee attraction, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, etc…

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Have a minimum 3 years within a trendy concept restaurant with quality and volume
  • Currently be working as Assistant Manager / Junior Restaurant Manager / AGM / Floor Manager / Supervisor position
  • Excellent knowledge of Italian cuisine
  • High quality of service and strong brand standards
  • Deliver a high level of customer service to all reporting staff
  • Deliver a one team approach to ensure continuous success.
  • Be a key player in growing all areas of the business
  • Needs to be very ambitious and focused
  • Fluent in English.
