Fred Bakery is looking for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the daily operations of our restaurant in Holborn, London.

This role is ideal for hospitality professionals who are hands‑on, service‑driven, and confident managing a fast‑paced food & beverage environment. You will play a key role on the floor, working closely with the Restaurant Manager to ensure smooth operations, strong team performance, and a consistently high guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the daily operation of Fred Bakery’s restaurant, ensuring service runs smoothly at all times
  • Actively lead the front‑of‑house team during service, setting the standard on the floor
  • Assist with staff scheduling, shift planning, and daily task coordination
  • Maintain service quality, cleanliness, and food safety standards
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve issues in a professional and calm manner
  • Support onboarding and on‑the‑job training of new team members
  • Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to improve service flow and operational efficiency
  • Assist with stock control, waste reduction, and basic operational reporting
What We’re Looking For
  • 4–5+ years of experience in the food & beverage industry
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager, Supervisor, or Floor Manager
  • Strong understanding of restaurant service and day‑to‑day operations
  • Comfortable working in a busy, guest‑focused environment
  • Confident leading teams on the floor and supporting junior staff
  • Good level of English communication skills
  • Reliable, detail‑oriented, and proactive in solving operational challenges
  • Ability to adapt to UK hospitality standards and working culture
