The role

To assist the associated Regional Facilities Manager to manage and deliver all aspects of planned, reactive, and cyclical maintenance plus minor works projects within a regional area, within agreed budgets. To provide cover for any absence of the associated Regional Facilities Manager and provide Out of Hours support for the whole UK property estate on a planned basis (c. 1 week in 6).

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the RFM in meeting objectives of ensuring buildings are always safe and fully operational.
  • Undertake Annual Property Inspection Reports and manage all consequential actions.
  • Provide training and support to care home staff on facility-related matters.
  • Provide planning and technical advice to Operations teams.
  • Manage the delivery of complex repairs and minor capital work schemes within agreed budgets and standards, ensuring full legal compliance.
  • Undertake regular spot checks to various equipment, rooms, services.
  • Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies and address issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Act as the point of escalation and coordination for ‘out of hours’ incidents and emergencies in line with the on-call rota.
  • Understand and ensure the implementation of the Company’s Health and Safety policies.
  • Ensure good key stakeholder management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to facility management and maintenance.
  • Offer assistance and guidance on Health and Safety matters related to health and safety, and regarding the environment, buildings, grounds etc.
What We're Looking For
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Proven experience delivering facilities maintenance in a healthcare or residential care setting.
  • Working knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and facilities management software.
  • Creativity in resolving operational issues.
