Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for full-time work on multi-discipline rail projects in Wembley. The successful candidate will assist the lead Quantity Surveyor and manage commercial aspects of projects. Previous contractor experience is required, and a degree in Quantity Surveying or similar is essential. The role provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in significant projects worth £500k to £50m.

Qualifications

  • Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent or training towards.
  • Previous contractor experience is necessary.
  • Eligible to live and work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Assist lead Quantity Surveyor on assigned projects.
  • Process weekly P&L and reserve reports.
  • Balance competing priorities within a demanding workload.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Rail Sector (Wembley)

We are currently seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work for a main contractor based in Wembley on a number of multi-discipline rail projects ranging from £500k – £50m. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience across a number of projects in this role working on a NEC form of contract, with exposure to NR.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist lead Quantity Surveyor on Projects / Cost Centres assigned to with assigned commercial aspects and always deal with same adopting a reasonable approach
  • Display commercial astuteness
  • Process weekly P&L and reserve reports as required
  • Assist with the processing of the pay role as required
  • Able to balance competing priorities and meet personal targets within a fluctuating & demanding workload

Essential Knowledge

  • Proficient use and knowledge of software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Project
  • Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent or training towards

We are looking for a candidate with previous contractor experience who is eligible to live and work in the UK. Please note that this is a full-time role.
