Job Summary

We are recruiting for an established Tier 1 construction business on a new Prison scheme near Newton Abbot. The company are recognised as one of the best in the market in terms of training, development, career opportunities and employment packages and would be an ideal place to grow and develop both your talent and construction knowledge. The project is a long‑term redevelopment of an existing prison facility with both new build and refurbishment works, complex M&E packages and groundworks and civil engineering works.

Responsibilities

• Work with the estimating and bid teams to firm up prices and costs for each package based on the initial bids.
• Compile a working scope of works and bill of quantities for each package.
• Work with the supply chain to establish how each phase will be delivered.
• Place orders, arrange pre‑start meetings and manage the scheme in conjunction with the delivery team.
• Carry out the standard quantity surveyor role of valuations, payments, re‑measures, managing variation accounts, CVR’s and weekly, monthly reporting and forecasting through to final account.
• Work under the supervision of a Senior QS who will help with training and development.
