Job summary

Bennett & Game are representing a rapidly growing solar and renewable energy contractor who are seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team in Fareham.

This role offers early responsibility, hands-on mentoring and clear progression as the business scales, with exposure to cost reporting, job costing and financial controls across a diverse project portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost reporting, job costing, and commercial administration would be advantageous.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to work with cost reports and project trackers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with commercial, operations and finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the Commercial Manager with the commercial and financial management of live renewable energy projects.
• Assist with job costing, cost tracking and commercial reporting across a growing project portfolio.
• Review project costs and performance to identify overspend, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with monthly cost reporting, forecasting, valuations and applications for payment.
• Support subcontract enquiries, cost comparisons, procurement and order placement.
