Involve Recruitment are in search of an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a growing residential contractor based in Bridgend. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop their career within a well-established company delivering high-quality residential projects.

Working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor and commercial team, you will gain hands‑on experience across all commercial aspects of residential construction, from procurement through to final accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with cost management on residential construction projects
  • Support the preparation of budgets, cost plans, and forecasts
  • Assist with subcontractor procurement and tender analysis
  • Help manage subcontractor accounts, valuations, and payments
  • Support the preparation of interim valuations and final accounts
  • Monitor variations and assist with cost reporting
  • Liaise with site teams, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Ensure commercial procedures are followed in line with company policies
Requirements
  • Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • Experience working within a residential contractor environment (preferred)
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Good communication and organisational abilities
  • Eagerness to learn and progress within a commercial team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and standard commercial software
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
