Our client a building developer / contractor are seeking a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major residential development in Portsmouth. This is a key role supporting the financial management and delivery of a multi-phase housing project consisting of private housing and apartments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with subcontractor procurement and payments
  • Support monthly valuations, cost reporting, and forecasting
  • Help manage budgets, variations, and cash flow
  • Attend site meetings and liaise with site and design teams
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with final accounts
What We're Looking For
  • 2-4 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role (contractor or developer side)
  • HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  • Confident communicator, well-organised, with good commercial awareness
  • Proficient in Excel; experience with construction management software is a plus
