Job summary

A leading construction and infrastructure services firm based in the UK is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their Anglian Water IMRDS team. The role involves supporting cost management, procurement, and liaising with project engineers. Candidates should hold a Quantity Surveying Degree or equivalent and have experience with NEC contracts. Some remote working is available, but a full driving license is required.

Overview

Location: Heigham, Norwich - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required. Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us. We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role. In this role you will be working on the Integrated Maintenance, Repair and Development Services (IMRDS) alliance on the Anglian Water Alliance. The team maintain the water supply systems, repairs emergencies like water bursts and develops new ways to better service customers.

Responsibilities

What will you be responsible for? As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you\'ll be working within the Anglian Water IMRDS team, supporting with the management of cost for the IMRDS framework across the areas we cover. Your day to day will include:

  • Assististing with the control of costs, maximising value, minimising future liabilities and maintaining the required standard of quality and safety
  • Accurate monthly and quarterly forecasting
  • Procurement of subcontractors in line with our commercial standards, ensuring best value for Kier and our client
  • Liaising with the commercial lead, project engineers, procurement coordinators, planners, site team leaders & managers
  • Hold or are working towards a Quantity Surveying Degree or equivalent
  • Have experience working on NEC contracts
  • Full driving licence
