Job description

I am recruiting for an established Tier 1 construction business on a new Prison scheme near Newton Abbot

The company are recognised as one of the best in the market in terms of training, development, career opportunties and employment packages and would be an ideal place to grow and develop both your talent and construction knowledge.

The project is a long term redevelopment of an existing prison facility with both elements of new build and refurbishment works alongside complex m&e packages and groundworks and civil engineering works.

Your duties will be to work with the estimating and bid teams to firm up prices and costs for each package based on the initial bids, compile a working scope of works and bill of quants for each package and work with the supply chain to establish how each phase will be delivered. Place orders, arrange pre start meetings and then manage the scheme in conjunction with the delivery team and carry out the standard QS role of valuations, payments, remeasures, managing variation accounts, CVR's and weekly, monthly reporting and forecasting through to final account all under the supervision of a Senior Qs who will help with your training and development.
