Role Overview

Liberty has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team, based in Reading. You will be working on a full‑time, permanent basis, 40 hours per week and will receive a competitive salary of up to £36,000 per annum depending on experience plus car allowance and benefits. Responsibilities
  • Assist with financial and contractual management of numerous construction projects
  • Manage small schemes from tender handover to final account stage
  • Support the Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager on larger projects
  • Maximise profitability and margin on each project
  • Prepare commercial agreements and tender documents for senior sign‑off
  • Provide accurate cost reports and manage cash flow position
  • Implement contract terms, manage risk and maintain contractual positions
  • Undertake enquiry, quotation and order processing
  • Resolve issues and support reporting schedules
Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous experience on social housing planned and responsive contracts
  • Knowledge of NHF Schedule of Work
  • IT skills and confidence with software
  • Hold the relevant qualification
  • Flexible in hours of work and travel, full UK driving licence
