Qualifications

Overview

We are looking for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our client's growing Commercial Team. In this role, you will support across all phases of construction projects, from procurement and subcontractor management to cost control and reporting.   • Projects range from new-builds, fit-outs, expansions, renovations, and reconfigurations.
Responsibilities
  • Maintaining accurate site records, including documentation and photos.
  • Liaising with site teams to complete labour allocation sheets.
  • Reviewing and approving Purchase Orders.
  • Preparing subcontract orders and managing subcontractor procurement.
  • Measuring, pricing, and agreeing budgets for variations.
  • Preparing cost projections and updating cost forecasts.
  • Evaluating subcontractor quotes and certifying valuations.
  • Preparing and submitting client valuations to maximise revenue.
  • Supporting monthly forecasting, reporting, and stakeholder updates.
  • Guiding Trainee/Graduate QS staff.
About You
  • A Degree, HND, or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Previous experience in industrial or built environment projects.
  • Familiarity with commercial and surveying systems.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
