Job description

We are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team in Bristol. This is a full-time, permanent role based primarily in our office, with regular site visits as required. You will support the Commercial Manager and Project Quantity Surveyors in the financial and contractual management of projects, including cladding remediation, industrial new-build, and refurbishment works.

  • Assist in the preparation, management, and monitoring of project budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts.
  • Support with the preparation of interim valuations and applications for payment.
  • Help assess and value variations and assist with negotiating change orders.
  • Contribute to the preparation of final accounts under the supervision of the Project QS or Commercial Manager.
  • Assist in the procurement of subcontractors, including preparing tender documents and comparing quotations.
  • Support the administration of subcontractor contracts, including measurement of works and processing payments.
  • Maintain accurate cost and value records, ensuring timely reporting for internal review.
  • Support the commercial team in identifying and managing project risks and opportunities.
  • Liaise with site teams to ensure accurate cost capture and effective financial control.
