Qualifications

  • Experience with Temporary Traffic Management is a plus.
  • Good understanding of the NEC form of Contract.
  • Understanding of management accounts and financial reporting processes.
  • Previous demonstrable experience in quantity surveying.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing costs and suggesting journal requests.
  • Review monthly management accounts and key performance information.
  • Monitor and maintain data within the Company Inhouse Works Management System.
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing of works.
  • Manage the Early Warning and Compensation Event process.
  • Handle client disputes.
  • Create in-contract pricing, estimates, and quotations.
  • Assist with recovering aged debt and cash collection.
  • Help prepare revenue reports and monthly management accounts.
  • Contribute to overall management of commercial aspects of all contracts.

Skills

About the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor role is a key role within the Chevron Group, assisting the commercial and senior management team in ensuring efficient contract delivery and exceeding the budgeted performance.

Responsibilities of an Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
  • Helping in managing costs and suggesting journal requests if needed
  • Reviewing monthly management accounts and key performance information
  • Monitoring and maintaining the data within the Company Inhouse Works Management System.
  • Ensuring the timely and accurate billing of works
  • Managing the Early Warning and Compensation Event process
  • Managing client disputes
  • Creating in-contract pricing, estimates and quotations
  • Assisting with recovering aged debt and cash collection
  • Helping to prepare revenue reports and monthly management accounts
  • Contributing to the overall management of commercial aspects of all contracts, including ensuring costs and revenue in correct periods.
