We are looking for a talented and passionate full-time Assistant Purchasing Manager to join our Purchasing team at the award-winning 5-Star Deluxe hotel - The Connaught.

The Role

As an Assistant Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day operational running of the purchasing, receiving, storage, and distribution of the purchasing department whilst ensuring uninterrupted supply of all the hotels' raw materials and services and adhering to company policy. You will also assist the Purchasing Manager to identify key opportunities to improve efficiencies and manage a range of supplier contracts, from established relationships to researching and identifying new suppliers to ensure a competitive and proactive approach is adopted in all areas.

Responsibilities

You will be an excellent and confident communicator with the ability to lead and develop your team and influence across all areas of the business. You will have a hands-on approach and take a proactive role with departmental managers in order to support service levels within the hotel and to deliver the most effective purchasing solutions. A sound knowledge of all aspects of purchasing management is essential and ideally you will have proven experience within a purchasing management role at a similar level. Previous experience of working with purchasing and procurement systems would be beneficial for this role.
