Job summary

CNWL NHS Foundation Trust in Milton Keynes is recruiting a Band 4 Assistant Psychologist to support adults involved in the criminal justice system within Milton Keynes Talking Therapies. The role provides applied psychology experience under supervision with focus on assessment, formulation and low-intensity interventions.

You will work across MK Talking Therapies, courts, probation and primary care, maintaining records, monitoring outcomes and contributing to audit and service evaluation.

Qualifications

• Hold a psychology degree and be eligible to work in healthcare or mental health settings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills essential.
• Ability to work independently and use supervision effectively.
• Experience in risk management and safeguarding is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support psychological assessments, formulations and care plans.
• Deliver low-intensity, evidence-based psychological interventions.
• Maintain clinical records, monitor outcomes and contribute to audits.
• Collaborate with courts, probation, GPs and partner organisations.
