A mental health care provider in Maidstone is seeking an enthusiastic assistant psychologist to join their team. The role involves delivering psychological interventions, participating in clinical supervision, and supporting adults with mental health issues. Candidates should possess a relevant psychology degree and strong skills in CBT and EMDR. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed assistant psychologist to perform at a band 4, and join our well established service in adult mental health for people who live in South West Kent and Maidstone (West).
The post holder will be based for 2.5 days at Albion Place in Maidstone and 2.5 days at Highlands House in Tunbridge Wells within the Psychological Therapies service which includes psychological clinicians of several disciplines.
We work closely with our colleagues in both tertiary and Community Mental Health Together and MHT Plus team.
You would participate in weekly meetings, which included peer group supervision and group supervision from an external supervisor, in addition to individual management and clinical supervision. There will be a requirement to travel between our Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells trust sites in a timely manner.
As a team, we offer a comprehensive service to adults with complex and longstanding mental health conditions and emotional difficulties. We offer individual therapy including EMDR and various group interventions including MBT, Art therapy, DBT and also have a Systemic Family Therapy team.
To participate in the provision of direct clinical work through the delivery of manualised psychologically informed structured interventions as part of Psychological Services to adults with mental health difficulties within the community & recovery service line of Kent & Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust.
