Middlewood Clinic is seeking an Assistant Psychologist to join a dedicated team in a specialist eating disorder setting at Little Ashfield, Midhurst. You will assist with assessments, formulations, and treatment under supervision, contributing to audits, research, and data collection.
You will develop specialist skills, engage in 1:1 and group interventions, and support staff with reflective practice and documentation. A relevant psychology degree and HCPC standards awareness are required.

You will be working with men and women in a specialist eating disorder setting, alongside addressing conditions like depression, self‑harm, physical health concerns, and psychological distress including trauma.
As an Assistant Psychologist you will have the opportunity to assist with assessments, formulations, and treatment to our service users, under the supervision of the Senior Psychologist. You will also assist in clinically related administration including conduct of audits, collection of statistics, development of audit and/or research projects, teaching, and project work.

This is a full‑time position of 37.5 hours a week. Monday‑Friday 9am‑5pm.

Middlewood Clinic provides care and treatment for men and women who have an eating disorder including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and atypical eating disorders. Our approach will be to restore a healthy body weight and address psychological problems during treatment.
The Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) at Middlewood Clinic will be made up of the Registered Manager, Consultant Psychiatrist, nurses, healthcare workers, psychologist, dietician, occupational therapist and social worker.
The hospital will have 12 comfortable ensuite bedrooms and a variety of communal and recreational spaces including lounge areas, a light and airy dining room, activities room, visitors room, therapy rooms, therapy kitchen area and a lovely cottage‑style garden.
