Our service is committed to providing support that prioritises prevention and delivers evidence-based interventions that are accountable and transparent to children, young people, parents and carers. Our service is based on the principles of I Thrive and CYP IAPT.
We are very proud of all the services we offer, from 1:1 evidenced based interventions to group work, digital offers, webinars, mentoring and social prescribing. Our service has an exciting opportunity to join our organisation as an Assistant Psychologist implementing data, research and the evaluation of therapeutic approaches, as a vehicle to enable change and improve service delivery.
The successful candidate will join our thriving Strategy & Development team, whilst being embedded within the core practice areas of our service in schools and the community. The role involves working with qualitative and quantitative data - to write reports with meaningful findings to support organisational growth. It is essential that the right candidate has excellent analytical and data collection skills, attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills, is motivated, enthusiastic, creative and can work individually and as part of a team.
As a team worker, the successful person will support our teams to measure the impact of interventions and shape services to children, young people and families (parents/carers) for the future, based on research. The post-holder will develop skills, knowledge and confidence in working with young people and their families (parents/carers) which will equip them with rich experience for further training or study in this field.
The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equity, equality, diversity and inclusion. Flexibility with working hours is a must as our service operates 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and some Saturday working may on occasion be required.
Previous Assistant Psychologists working with Bromley Y have progressed to study and train successfully on courses including doctorates and CYP IAPT training.
