Job description
Responsibilities
  • Assist with the day‑to‑day running of the pain service and its therapy interventions, including assessments, supervised interventions, co‑facilitating group work, meetings, in‑service training, and managing the spinal‑cord‑stimulator database.
  • Support delivery of group‑based interventions under supervision, with the scope to deliver sessions or 1:1 supervised interventions.
  • Build strong working relationships with the multidisciplinary team, attend team meetings and away events.
  • Assist in the evaluation of various components or groups offered at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, including data collection, analysis and managing the spinal‑cord‑stimulator service database (supervised by Daniel Board – specialist physiotherapist).
  • Help deliver training to colleagues from other professions, organise a national conference and participate in service training.
Qualifications
  • Experience working within a clinical psychology department or a related field (e.g. social work, care work, research).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competent in research and statistics.
  • Good computing ability.
  • Ability to work independently with initiative but seek advice when appropriate.
  • Adaptable and flexible approach.
  • Self‑motivating.
  • Interest in a career in clinical psychology.
