Qualifications

  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, and knowledge of V-LOOKUP and X-Lookups.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams etc.).
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Must be flexible and able to work under pressure, multi-task and effectively prioritise.
  • Organised, with attention to detail and able to work to tight deadlines.
  • AAT studier or qualified.

Responsibilities

  • Support financial operations and reporting requirements, including Trial Balance & VAT reports.
  • Assist with the creation and delivery of ad hoc reporting to other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support financial operations relating to the mobilisation and demobilisation of transactions.
  • Address day-to-day queries from clients.
  • Perform any other accounting and administrative duties as needed in support of the finance team.
  • Assist Accountants & Senior Accountants in the service delivery across the team portfolio.
  • Complete various control account reconciliations & monitor funding levels accurately and timely.
  • Manage risk by complying with company, accounting, and legislative procedures and controls, and escalat[e] issues promptly.
  • Be a point of contact for specific clients for the day-to-day running of their portfolio.
  • Attend internal and external meetings as required.
  • Ensure strong communication links and working relationships are established and maintained within various teams.

Reed Accountancy Norwich are delighted to be supporting a long-standing client of ours to recruit for an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. This position will play a vital role in reporting and maintaining financial controls, producing insightful reports, ensuring accuracy, and compliance with regulations. This position offers structured learning and training to support candidates ongoing development, and the opportunity to collaborate with finance and other teams to build strong relationships and resolve issues.

Day-to-day of the role:
